Andrea Dos Santos and Suzanne de Beer have been friends from the age of three years old, who later on in their life has discovered the shared passion they have to support mothers.

 

Suzanne, as a professional photographer wanted to capture the journey of the pregnancy and the first golden moments after the baby was born. Andrea, a registered nurse, shared her passion for mothers and their newborns.

As life took its turns, they finally put their dream into a reality by starting the Blissful Cleft Foundation in August 2020, with the help of Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr Sharan Naidoo.

​

One door after the other opened and they managed to do 14 successful operations, giving forever smiles and supporting the cleft community.

​

Something was still missing. Suzanne and Andrea wanted to provide the cleft community a home, where all their care is available under one roof. Here we are now. This is where BCF the Village started.

​

BCF the Village is not only for cleft affected families but it is a home where medical care is rendered by a specialised team of therapists and we can’t wait to see how this team will change lives.

​

Each therapist has their own unique contribution to the team and with new plans and cleft days coming up soon, we can now not only provide proper after care but also support multiple families in need of various disciplines to take their hand through a journey they might not know about or have planned.
